A NEW RESEARCH FOCUS:
SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY TRANSFORMATION

︎︎︎

“In 2021, an extraordinary project has been started. For the next 1.5 years, the EKSH (Society for Energy and Climate Protection Schleswig-Holstein GmbH) is funding the development of a new research focus in the MA in Medical Design under the direction of Prof. Detlef Rhein and research assistant Jadwiga Slezak. How can the traffic transformation succeed with the specific prerequisites in Schleswig-Holstein and especially in Kiel and the surrounding area, what must be fundamentally (re)understood and what can the design disciplines contribute to this? How can it create a new awareness of the relevance of the common goods of air and public space? What potentials for new qualities are possible or even necessary if automobility continues to grow unchecked and climate goals cannot be achieved within the status quo?”

These questions are to be examined in projects and fundamental research formats and discussed in broad social discourse. The research project is supported by a student working group, of which I have been a member since the beginning.

A NEW RESEARCH FOCUS:
SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY TRANSFORMATION

︎︎︎

For 1.5 years I was allowed to participate as a research assistant in an extraordinary project at the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts in Kiel. The description and goal of the group:

The EKSH (Society for Energy and Climate Protection Schleswig-Holstein GmbH) funded the development of a new research focus in Medical Design under the direction of Prof.

These questions were examined in projects and discussed in broad social discourse. During this time four publications with student and in-house projects were published. Several lectures, exhibitions, and workshops were organized.

My own contribution can be found in all these areas. But especially in the last semester, it was my task to summarize and maintain all this work in an internet presence.
